Scroll Away
I had to put a post after this post and the next post so if you don't want to miss anything terribly awesome keep scrolling until you get to a post you have seen before. I would explain further but Mak is breathing down my neck with that carpet cleaner! Whoa nelly that is hot on my heels-literally!
Ta Dah
This is Aida's new and improved bedroom I believe it is painted Jamaican Blue. Before her room was semi-painted and had holes all over the place where bookshelves and tvs were mounted. To top it all off there was a huge office style fluorescent light in there. It did emit a lot of light...
Janae gifted Aida some paint for her birthday and recovered her lampshade. I bedazzled Aida's shelves with "magic pebbles". Originally she wanted to put them all over her walls to make them shine but then WE decided to do the bookshelf instead. :)
The bookshelf needed a bit of a facelift due to some water damage. I thought to myself who could class this bad boy up? Definitely a job for Sara. I honestly don't know how I do it-the inspiration just comes to me....
Being cheap I mean on a budget-I just covered it with scrapbook paper I had lying around( I wanted to buy some cool metallic shelf paper because I thought it would look great with the blue). ...I guess I got a little carried away with the paper but it does look more like a tweeners room and it didn't cost me a dime so I am proud of myself. I wanted to do something with a little more continuity but my paper only came in sheets of two. Aside from a few Selena Gomez posters, we haven't hung anything up yet and we are still thinking about the windows. Sorry for the poor lighting but I took it at night because that is when I do stuff. :)
Still to Do:
Bedding
Pictures
Paint the Trim
Possible bookcase

Time and Talent Mooch
We have been super busy visiting with Mark's niece Janae. She was so awesome to bring us some of her spare paint so in a week we were able to paint THREE rooms that otherwise we were planning on waiting a year or so to do. She also covered some experimental lamp shades for me and whipped up some decorative pillows for the girls. Janae is a real whiz at making cute stuff. She is a real go-getter and I appreciate all that she did including letting us mooch some of her way cool fabric to get some things done around here. We mooched her supplies and her talent and our house looks a lot better. They even helped us do the painting. It was also mostly great to have her and her hubby visit with us into the wee hours talking. Moving to a new place is never easy and it was so nice to have such good company. So thanks Madsens for letting us mooch and for keeping us company.
Mark and I are headed to NY Citay this weekened so nah nah nah nah nahhhhh. Maybe when I get back I will post some before and afters or just afters. Mark still hasn't started my attic!

Twice the Fun With Two Twos
We have been having a lot of fun having a second two year old around. The girls like to baby her and Ed likes to watch out for her. It is always fun to see how two-year olds "hang out" together. I enjoy Danielle because we can get her to laugh at the same things as Ed does. I guess her parents must have good senses of humour just like us. :) Anyway here are some pictures of Danielle and Ed hanging out eating clementines. Once they figured out how to peel there was no stopping them. Sometimes they didn't even eat it they just peeled and peeled... I tried to get more pictures of Danielle but Ed was a picture hog and would get right in front of the camera as seen on this extreme close-up of him just look at that smirk.

Boardwalk With Madsens
We went to the boardwalk again only this time we went at 530pm. I have to say this was the best time to go. We didn't need any sunscreen, most of the shoobies were gone, the weather was nice and actually the water was surprisingly warm. We had funnel cake, taffy and monkey bread. It was all topped off with our matching parking tickets-yeah! Anyway here are some pictures of the kids and the Madsens. Don't worry one of these days I will get proper beach attire. :) Thanks Janae for helping me to look a little more tan than I am. There is no need to check her blog because I already stole all of these beach pictures from her-sorry Janae.

Summa So Fah
We finally hit the beach-I know you are all jealous. It took Ed about an hour to stand on the sand. He is getting better but the dry sand still scares the bajeebers out of him.
Moments like these that remind us why we took the plunge and bought this beast.
A toad named "Jumpy" wonders if he only had jumped a little faster or had been hit by a bike... he is a little less jumpy these days.
