Sandy Box 2

This gets to be Sandy Box 2 because I already posted it on Danielle's Blog. Ed and Danielle have added playing in the sandbox to their Things To Do on a Daily Basis list. This time they were really excited to wear matching hoodies-mostly because it was chilly but I also think that they like to wear them to provide cover for their sand throwing ways. Ed was really excited to have successfully buried his feet in the sand himself and here is Danielle really excited to have the opportunity to throw sand in my face while taking her picture for HER blog. It is okay though because I have a new camera all picked out for Janae to buy me. :)

Notice all of Ed's bandaids. He also has a few stuck on the back of his head. He has actually run out of places to put them.

The More the Merrier

Danielle is visiting us for a week so I may have more or less time to catch up on some blogging. My kids really LOVE having Danielle around. For me, I still get a kick out of what her and Ed come up with .DSC_0050

Doesn’t Ed look HUGE in this picture?

Let me just say one more time how much I LOVE my trike. Ed is learning to ride so I don’t know how much longer I get to have passengers but it is so much easier than driving.

Chicky Love

The chicks are growing up fast. It is getting harder to see the perks of owning a dog when the chicks are soooo much cheaper and provide hours of entertainment without having to monitor and yell "Ep". So far the chicks are alive and very tolerant. I didn't think they would last this long but they seem to be thriving. On Sunday we were enjoying dinner outside when we heard sirens, a screeching halt and then someone yelling at us over our fence if we "saw anything". Looking a bit closer, we noticed he was caring a large rifle as were the other four officers sneaking around the back of our neighbors house with rifles at the ready. Mark got the kids in while I jumped the deck railing to save Ed and the chicks. Tough. Luckily no shots were fired and eventually the guns were put away after we watched 15 teenagers emerge from a very tiny house. They just kept coming out like clowns out of a VW bug. It didn't look like any arrests were made but Mark still needs to go and get the what what from the neighbor. Just another day of living in the hood of NJ. Now that I think of it I should have taken a picture from my window for those of you that may think that I am lying. Anyway here are some chick pictures some of them taken MOMENTS before the cops descended upon the crims out back.

Happy Easter 2010

I apologize for the lack of any colorful Easter pictures.  This is an accumulation of all of our Easter related activities.  They did not happen all in one day but they happened and now here they are.

Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt Complete with Creepy Bunny

Ed was slow but steady.  It was really hard to hold myself back and not grab all that he was missing.
The Take

My Martha cupcakes that don't look as good as hers.  To my credit these are the ones that were left over that I took home so they are a little beat up.

Maya's class had a little competition and guess who won with the EXACT answer.  Why can't she do this when a bike is at stake?
The Trophy
I wonder if they will live until next Easter...
Once I caught him running around the house clutching a chick in one hand.  I had to look away.
Little chicken legs all over the place.

764

According to Lucy this is how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie pop. "If you want both halves gone you have to double that number."-Lucy She took copious notes as photographed for evidence. Thanks Lucy for answering the owl's question!
