I am not a proponent of standardized testing...

yet it was nice for Aida to hand me this certificate just before going to bed (not a big deal to her I guess) along with a coupon worth $10 of books at the book fair. In my head I replaced "highest score in Language Arts" to mean that yes, it is true your daughter is the brightest of the lot. Congratulations to Aida!

I always knew Aida was smart. It's great to see her New Zealand education has been sufficient for her to survive standardised testing. Sadly the National government has seen fit to adopt national testing, because, heck, it doesn't work in the US or the UK, so it might as well not work here either! Aside from the politics, well done to Aida! You have great kids. I hope you went to see the bulbs at Longwood. They looked great on my calendar. Hey if Rogo sells really well, we might be able to see you all again before you are all grown up.

Of course these certificates are rolling in--when you have Mark and Sara as parents, it's no surprise these are coming your way.

Mike said you guys are going to Fairyland--think he meant Disneyland.
